The cause of the crash of the Ukrainian plane in Iran was due to engine failure. This was stated by the head of the Center for Communications and Information of the Ministry of Roads and Urban Development of Iran, Qasim Bihi, the local site ion.ir reports.

“The Ukrainian plane, which flew this morning from Tehran to the capital of Ukraine, Kyiv, crashed near the city of Parand in the province of Tehran, due to engine failure,” the message says.

At the same time, he emphasized that the plane could not be shot down by a missile.

“If the catastrophe was caused by a missile, the plane would explode in the sky,” Bihi emphasized.

Recall that the Daily Mail earlier suggested that a Ukrainian plane could be accidentally shot down.

As The Journalist reported, Boeing lost leadership in number of delivered liners.
