Tehran is not ready yet to send flight recorders from a downed UIA plane for decryption to another country. This was stated by the head of the Iran’s Civil Aviation Organization commission for accidents investigation, Hassan Rezaifar, IRNA reports.
“We are trying to decipher the black boxes here, in Iran; otherwise, we can choose Ukraine and France, but so far we made no decision to send them to another country,” the message says.
As previously reported, Iran does not have the technology to decrypt the black box of the modern Boeing 737, so the registrar should have been sent to France for deciphration. Soon, Iran made a statement on its readiness to provide access to the black boxes to a joint group of experts at the crash site, and then transfer black boxes to the Ukrainian side.
As The Journalist reported, Iran sent UIA plane’s black box to France.
