The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine said that Iran is ready to take full responsibility for the downing of a Boeing 737-800 aircraft operated by Ukraine International Airlines, Interfax-Ukraine reports.
“Positive developments during the talks in Tehran confirm Iran’s readiness to assume full responsibility for the downing of a Ukrainian plane, as well as the political will of the Iranian leadership for a final and fair settlement of the related issues,” Deputy Foreign Minister of Ukraine Yevhen Yenin during a meeting with Iranian Ambassador to Ukraine Manouchehr Moradi said.
According to Yenin, it is important that the investigation of all the circumstances of the PS752 plane crash to be impartial and transparent. Also, the openness of the Iranian side will help to ensure the necessary level of international confidence in the results of technical and criminal investigations, which Iran intends to present in the near future.
The Iranian diplomat assured that his country is ready to secure mutually acceptable solution of issues during the next round of negotiations, which will be held in late November – early December 2020.
