Iranian President Hassan Rouhani is calling on newly elected US President Joe Biden to return to the 2015 nuclear deal, NHK reports.
Recall that the still incumbent American President Donald Trump unilaterally withdrew the United States from the nuclear agreement 2 years ago.
“Rouhani called on Biden to compensate for the “mistakes of the past” and return to the implementation of international treaties,” the message says.

Observers believe that in this way Tehran wants to achieve a relaxation of sanctions by the next US administration in order to revive the Iranian economy.
