Israel strikes Syria in response to missile launch

On November 20, Israel launched a massive missile attack on the Al-Quds battalion of the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps and the Syrian armed forces positions in Syria.

“We have launched large-scale attacks on the Iranian al-Quds group and the Syrian armed forces in Syria in response to missile attack at Israel by the Iranian forces in Syria,” the Israeli armed forces said.

According to Israeli army during attack were destroyed number of Syrian anti-aircraft batteries because it, contrary to the warning, opened fire during the Israeli attack.

“We consider the Syrian regime responsible for all actions that take place on Syrian territory, and we warn them of the consequences if they allow further attacks against Israel,” the Israeli army emphasizes.

According to Deutsche Welle, Israel regularly strikes Iranian targets in Syria. Among the goals of recent months are a military airfield in the province of Homs, military depots and bases, as well as Iranian drones.
