South Ukraine NPP shuts down 3rd power unit

«At 10:41 a.m. on October 17, 2018, the third power unit of the South-Ukrainian NPP was switched off the power grid due to a malfunction of the turbine automatic control system,» – the report says.

The report notes that the radiation background within the NPP industrial zone complies with the natural background.
In addition, during the transitional processes of the power unit’s switch-off, no violations of the terms and limits of safe operation were registered. The first and second power units of the NPP operates in normal mode.
As The Journalist reported, the third power unit of the South-Ukrainian NPP was connected to the power grid after maintenance work.
