The construction of a 1-km for a land-based Hyperloop pipe will cost up to $ 10 million, which is cheaper than building of railway, and the ticket will cost less than a plane or a train.
This was reported by the Deputy head of Directorate of the state policy in the field of digital infrastructure on transport of the Ministry of infrastructure of Ukraine Farid Safarov, – UNIAN informs.
«According to companies estimates, 1 km of a land-based Hyperloop pipe will cost $ 10 million. If you build an underground Hyperloop, the cost of construction will increase in 8 times», – Safarov said.
The ticket price has not yet been calculated, because the developers of Hyperloop focus on freight so far.
«Hyperloop will start operating as cargo transportation system until we make sure everything is safe. As for the tickets, they will be cheaper than the plane or train due to low cost of maintaining of the Hyperloop infrastructure», – Safarov noted .
Also Farid Safarov said that this kind of transportation will allow to get from Odessa to Kiev in 30 minutes.
In addition, Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine signed a memorandum of cooperation with Hyperloop Transportation Technologies (HTT) to implementation a Hyperloop technology in Ukraine.
As «The Journalist» reported, Ukraine and Romania will launch the train between Chernivtsi and the Romanian city of Suceava.
