In the Republic of Turkey, police detained smugglers trying to take out the Bible, which is about 1200 years old, from the country, reports Anadolu.
Three people were detained in Kayapinar region of Diyarbakir province. The attackers attempted to illegally smuggle out a gold-embossed leather Bible.
It is noted that after the interrogation of the smugglers, law enforcement officers detained three more involved in an attempt to sell the ancient book.
