The new president of the Mexican United States was elected leftist candidate of the «Juntos Haremos Historia» coalition, Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador, Noticias Caracol reported.

The National Electoral Institute predicted result of the voting following a quick count.

Lopez Obrador win 53 to 53.8 percent, and the second-place candidate, representative of the "Forward for Mexico" coalition, Ricardo Anaya about 22.1-22.8 percent.

All Lopez Obrador’s opponents to concede the election. Recall that in Mexico, on July 1, a general election were held, in which citizens had to elect a president and renew the Congress, which includes 128 senators and 500 members of the Chamber of Deputies.

Along with the federal elections, in 30 of the 32 regions were organized elections for more than 17,000 positions in local government bodies, including gubernatorial posts

As «The Journalist» reported earlier, 18 candidates were killed during the election campaign in Mexico.
