Israel began construction of a new wall at the border with the Gaza Strip. This was announced by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, writes DW.

"The fence will prevent the entry of terrorists from the Gaza Strip to Israel," Netanyahu said.
It is known that the fence will be constructed of galvanized steel. Its height will be six meters, length – 65 kilometers. The fence will be erected on the Israeli border with the Gaza Strip in those areas where an underground concrete fence has already been built, which, according to the Israeli authorities, should neutralize the system of underground tunnels of Palestinian militants.
Recall that tensions between Israel and the Gaza Strip intensified last spring. The conflict intensified on May 14, the day the US Embassy opened in Jerusalem, when more than 60 Palestinians were killed in clashes on the border between Gaza Strip and Israel, which opened fire on Israeli military forces.

Previously, the Journalist reported that May had stated that he would defend that Brexit, for which the people voted.
