President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky decided to declare January 9 the day of mourning due to the crash of a Ukraine International Airlines (UIA) passenger plane in Tehran (Iran). This was reported by the press service of the head of state.
Zelensky signed the corresponding decree following the working meeting on issues related to the crash of the Ukrainian airline’s plane.
In order to honor the memory of the victims, the president decreed to lower the state flags of Ukraine on the houses and structures of state authorities, local self-government, state enterprises, institutions and organizations.
The document also cancels entertainment and concert events, makes appropriate changes to the television and radio programs.
