JFO: Invaders completed first phase of withdrawal their units in Stanytsia Luhanska

As The Journalist reported, Volker satisfied with Ukraine’s actions regarding Stanytsia Luhanska and waiting for appropriate step from Russia.

According to the Joint Forces Operation (JFO) press center, the Russia-led occupiers completed the first phase of withdrawing their units in the area of Stanytsia Luhanska along the demarcation line.

“In accordance with the Peace Plan and the implementation of the Decision of the Trilateral Contact Group dated September 20, 2016, the enemy completed the first phase of withdrawing its units in the area of Stanytsia Luganska, in particular the enemy disengaged the pedestrian bridge,” the statement said.

“In order to ensure maximum safety for the civilian population of Stanytsia Luhanska, as well as for citizens of Ukraine who cross the local entry and exit checkpoint, the demining teams of the Armed Forces and the State Service of Emergency Situations are checking the road (along the humanitarian corridor) and the surrounding area to detect and neutralize explosive objects ” the press center said.

“While the process of withdrawal is going on, our reserves in the area of Stanytsia Luhanska are brought to full combat readiness. In case the Russian occupation forces abandon further steps for the withdrawal of certain frontiers, the Ukrainian military will immediately return to their positions,” the headquarters said.

The JFO units guarantee the safe movement of civilians and the smooth operation of the checkpoint. It is operating in standard mode.
