On March 26, the illegal armed formations violated the ceasefire regime five times in Donbas, according to the press center of the JFO headquarters.
The militants resorted to 120mm and 82mm mortars banned by the Minsk agreements, grenade launchers of various systems, heavy machine guns and small arms.
In the zone of responsibility of the Skhid [East] tactical group, the enemy shelled Joint Forces positions near Pavlopil from 120mm and 82mm mortars (51 mortar shells).
Ukrainian defense positions near Talakivka came under the enemy fire from grenade launchers of various systems, and near Slavne the militants fired from an automatic easel grenade launcher and heavy machine guns.
The Ukrainian positions near Avdiivka were fired from heavy machine guns. Units of the Joint Forces conducted an active defense and gave an adequate response to the enemy.
In in the zone of responsibility of the Pivnich [North] tactical group, militants fired at the positions of the Ukrainian military near Luhanske from 82mm mortar (3 shells). Ukrainian troops fired back to suppress the enemy’s fire activity amid escalation.
No casualties among the Ukrainian troops have been reported over the past day.
