On May 23, the Russian-led illegal armed groups violated the cease-fire regime 11 times in the Joint Forces Operation (JFO) area, using mortars prohibited by the Minsk Agreements. As a result, one Ukrainian soldier was injured, as the press center of the JFO HQ reported on Facebook.
Militants shelled Ukrainian positions using anti-tank missile systems, grenade launchers of various systems, heavy machine guns and small arms.
In the area of activity of the operational-tactical group Vostok (“East”), the militants attacked Ukrainian positions ten times near Mykolayivka, Pisky, Pavlopil, Starohnativka, Chermalyk, Opytne, Avdiyivka and Pyshevik settlements.
In the area of activity of the operational-tactical group Sever(“North”), the enemy attacked JFO positions near the settlement of Zolote-4 using 120mm and 82mm mortars and heavy machine guns.
According to intelligence data, on May 23 two occupies were killed, another one was wounded.
As The Journalist reported, pro-Russian terrorists captured eight JFO members.
