JFO: Ukrainian troops wounded one militant in Donbas

On May 9, illegal armed groups violated the cease-fire regime 14 times in Donbas, two times using 120mm mortars prohibited by the Minsk Agreements, the press center of the Ukraine’s Joint Forces Operation HQ said in an update on Facebook.

Militants resorted to weapons mounted on the infantry fighting vehicles, grenade launchers of various systems, large-caliber machine guns and small arms.

In the area of activity of the operational-tactical group Vostok (“East”), the militants attacked Ukrainian positions twelve times, two times using 120mm mortars, grenade launchers of various systems, heavy machine guns and small arms near the village Pishevyk; two times using 120mm mortars and heavy machine guns near the village of Opytne; three times using grenade launchers of various systems and small arms near the town of Avdiyivka; two times using grenade launchers of various systems and small arms near the village of Bohdanivka; automatic machine gun grenade launchers near the village of Chermalyk; hand-held anti-tank grenade launchers and small arms near the settlement of Novoselivka; small arms near the village of Starohnativka.

In the area of activity of the operational-tactical group Sever(“North”), the enemy attacked JFO positions two times using weapons mounted on the infantry fighting vehicles near the village of Novozvanivka; heavy machine guns and small arms near the town of Svitlodarsk.

One member of the Joint Forces was injured.

According to intelligence data, on May 9 one occupier was wounded.
