On August 16, the Joint Forces units detained a sniper shooter who was found to have a military ID of the so-called “LPR”, a small amount of Russian rubles and an anesthetic drug of narcotic action, the JFO headquarters reports.

“The detainee confessed that he could not stand the arbitrariness and humiliation of the leaders who command the occupation units and voluntarily decided to surrender to the Armed Forces of Ukraine,” the message reads.

According to intelligence data, along with a strong lack of staffing and very few morale, the leaders are losing control over the personnel and such cases as the use of alcohol and drugs, suicide and desertion of personnel are increasingly taking place in enemy units.

“To prevent desertion, the armed formations of the Russian Federation have formed “blocking detachments,” the JFO HQ added.

In addition, in the air of enemy media resources, the occupiers report that their command is now giving orders to destroy potential deserters.

“Near the village of Luhanske, an enemy sniper shot his colleague for unauthorized abandonment of his duty station. This is how the leaders of the occupiers intimidate the personnel and threaten with violence and blood,” the JF HQ said.
