Journalists covering scale of epidemic in Wuhan goes missing in China

Three Chinese journalists who covered spread of coronavirus in Wuhan gone missing after a series of revealing reports, according to Daily Mail.

Reporters Chen Qiushi, Fang Bing, and Li Zehua showed incredible epidemic in Wuhan and published crowded morgues and hospitals of the city on YouTube and Twitter.

The publication notes that journalists gone missing from February 6 to February 26. It is also known that one of the reporters was arrested shortly before missing.

“The footage shows he had a conflict with officers trying to measure his temperature. Another reporter allegedly came into view of the secret police service after he visited the Wuhan Institute of Virology. The third planned to visit a temporary hospital in the same city,” the article reads.

In addition, in early April, a Chinese doctor and director of the emergency department of Central Hospital of Wuhan, Ai Fen, who criticized the authorities in her published article, also gone missing. The doctor commented on the actions of leaders in the early stages of the spread of coronavirus infection.
