The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine will submit to the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) a list of 19 legal entities against which sanctions should be applied for their involvement in the illegal construction of the Kerch Strait bridge.
Such a decision was approved on August 29, at the Government’s meeting, according to the Ministry for Temporary Occupied Territories and internally displaced persons (MTOT).
The MTOT reminded that the construction of the bridge through the Kerch Strait is illegal. The general contractor for the design and construction of a transport crossing through the Kerch Strait is Stroygazmontazh Ltd.
«In this regard, the Ministry for Temporary Occupied Territories has initiated the application of sanctions to 19 legal entities (private companies, Russian state-owned companies and federal institutions of the Russian Federation) who are the managers / founders of legal entities involved in the process of illegal construction of the Kerch bridge, taking into account the available information, and has prepared the corresponding package of documents,» – the report says.
Thus, the next companies included to the sanctions list:
- Stroygazmontazh Ltd (design and construction contractor);
- SGM-Most (Moscow);
- Chief project designer of the JSC Institute Giprobudmost – St. Petersburg (St. Petersburg);
- subcontractors OJSC Mostotrest (Moscow);
- Portgidrobut Ltd (Novorossiysk);
and others.
It also explains that «imposition of sanctions on all involved legal entities (private companies, Russian state-owned companies and federal institutions of the Russian Federation) involved in the illegal construction of the Kerch bridge will make impossible economic relations with Ukraine, restrict or terminate economic relations with the countries of the European Union and the US.»
«In the future, the appropriate order will be submitted to the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine,» – the report says.
As The Journalist reported, Poroshenko instructed to prepare a meeting of the National Security and Defense Council to discuss the situation in the Azov Sea.
