The average wage in Kyiv has increased by 18% for H1 2019, compared to the same period last year. As of today, it is UAH 15,183. The unemployment rate also decreased and the volume of construction work increased. This was announced by the director of the Department of Economics and Investments of the Kyiv City State Administration (KCSA) Natalia Melnyk, the press service of the KCSA reports.
In H1 2019, the socio-economic development in the capital has increased. The average wage In Kyiv increased by 18% and the unemployment rate decreased by 6.7%. Positive trends are also observed in the field of trade: the level of exports grew by 21.4%, imports – 11.6%, and overall retail turnover increased by 14.4%.
Also, according to Melnyk, the volume of construction work in Kyiv increased by 19.5%.
