Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Poland to Ukraine, Jan Piekło, has said that Kyiv and Warsaw are interest in to prevent the implementation of the Nord Stream-2 project.
The diplomat said this during a conference in Kyiv, UNIAN reported.
«Now the main problem is the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline. Ukraine, Poland and other countries should be interested in to prevent the implementation of this project,» said Piekło.
According to the Polish diplomat, it is a top priority task for Poland to stop Nord Stream 2 project.
It should be noted that the Nord Stream-2 project envisages the construction and operation of two gas pipeline branches from the Russian coast through the Baltic Sea to Germany with a total capacity of 55 billion cubic meters gas per year.
Construction of the pipeline will be completed by the end of 2019. The pipeline length will be 1220 km and it will lay from Ust-Luga (Russia) to Greifswald (German).
As The Journalist reported, Ukraine will lose up to 2.5-3% of her GDP over Nord Stream 2 launch.
