The Kyiv City Council supported the candidacy of Volodymyr Slonchak as the Deputy Chairman of the KCSA on the issues related to the implementation of self-government powers.

This decision was backed by 94 out of 108 deputies of the City Council, the press services of the Kyiv City Council reported.

Slonchak will be responsible for issues related, in particular, to the formation of communal property and the returning of communal property objects to the community. The decision also notes that he will coordinate the activities of the KCSA units in the field of ecology and natural resources.

In addition, the Kyiv City Council supported the candidacy of Maryna Honda as the Deputy Chairman of the KCSA on the issues related to implementation of self-government powers.

This decision was backed by 77 out of 97 deputies of the City Council.

Mrs Honda will be responsible for the issues related, in particular, to the renaming of toponymy objects, and will head the relevant commission at the KCSA on issues of names. The decision also notes that she will coordinate the activities of the next KSCA departments: public communications; social policy; youth and sports, as well as the Office of Tourism and Promotion.

As The Journaist reported, the official of the Mykolaiv mayor’s office, who must fight corruption, was detained on a bribe.
