China perform the first global successful space launch on 2019, putting the telecommunication satellite Zhongxin 2D into orbit. It will provide broadcasting for a number of radio and television channels on the territory of the PRC, Xinhua reports.

The Zhongxin telecommunications satellite was launched into orbit from the Sichang Cosmodrome (Sichuan Province, South-West China), using the Chang Zheng 3B launch vehicle. It is noted that for Chang Zheng series vehicles it became the 298 th launch in a row.
China performed 39 space launches in 2018.
The Zhongxin 2D, in addition to providing broadcasting for a number of radio and television channels in the territory of the People’s Republic of China, will be able to provide a wide range of telecommunication services for data transmission and broadband Internet operation.
