The Chinese space craft Chang’e-4 landed on the far side of the moon in the crater Karman on January 3, Hinhua reported.
The report notes that this is the first spacecraft landed on the back side of the Earth satellite.

“The Chinese space station Chang’e-4 landed on the far side of the moon on Thursday [Jan. 3 – ed.]), becoming the first device to make a soft landing on the unexplored side that always faces away from Earth,” the message said.
