Chinese Tus Sunergy Company Limited is planning to build a waste recycling plant in the Kyiv oblast, investing at least EUR 140 million to this project.
The relevant memorandum of cooperation was signed within the forum between the Ukrainian Silk Road Association and the Chinese Tus Sunergy Company Limited, UNIAN reported.
«The first investment will be EUR 140 million; it is planned to build a waste recycling plant in the Kyiv Oblast, as well as 9 more plants in Ukraine in the future,» said Iryna Nikorak, the Director of the Silk Road Association of Ukraine.
At the same time, she did not clarify the plant’s capacity, as negotiations and calculations are still underway on this issue.
«This topic is extremely complicated, connected with tariffs and the lack of necessary legislation, it requires the Parliament to adapt this legislation and appearing of real tools for the implementation of such projects,» she added.
It is noted that the abovementioned Chinese company is building similar plants in China and also actively enters the European market – it is negotiating not only with Ukraine, but also with Montenegro, Croatia and Serbia.
