Ukrainian businessman Ihor Kolomoisky has won a lawsuit against former head of the National Bank of Ukraine Valeriya Gontareva on protection of his honor, dignity and business reputation, UNIAN reports.

“The claim of Ihor Kolomoisky against Valeriya Gontareva, Kyiv Gorshenin Institute of Management Ltd. on the protection of honor, dignity and business reputation shall be fully satisfied,” according to the decision of the Shevchenkivsky District Court of Kyiv of March 30.

The decision was made by judge Iryna Makarenko.

“To recognize as unreliable and violating Ihor Kolomoisky’s personal non-property rights an information published on September 18, 2019, by lb.ua in an interview with Valeriya Gontareva titled ‘Valeriya Gontareva: ‘This whole team, they are not only bullying me, but they doing so brazenly and mocking me (…)’ the court said.

The court also ruled to recover in Kolomoisky’s favor court fees in the amount of UAH 2305.20 from Gorshenin Institute and Gontareva in equal shares.

As a defense of his violated right, Kolomoisky chose a refutation of information, which should be made public through the media within five business days after the deadline for appeal by all the defendants in the case.

Recall that Gontareva left for London in the fall of 2018.
