Kosovo Albanians again claim part Serbian territory

Head of Kosovo Hashim Thaçi stated that if an agreement was concluded between Belgrade and Pristina, Preševo Valley (a border region in the south of Serbia – Ed.) would join Kosovo.

Thaçi claims that «requests of the Albanian population of Preševo Valley to join Kosovo are institutionalized» Newsru. According to him, if an agreement is reached between Kosovo and Serbia on this issue, «no one will be able to interfere with its implementation – neither the European Union, nor NATO, nor the United States».

Note that Preševo Valley, where a significant number of Albanians live, borders on the territory of Kosovo. In accordance with the Serbian constitution, the territory of Kosovo is part of Serbia and is part of it as the Autonomous Province of Kosovo and Metohija.
