District Administrative Court of Kyiv ruled that the government’s actions on establishing a living wage for 2019 is unlawful.
The court declared illegal the actions of the Cabinet of Ministers to establish a living wage for 2019 without conducting a scientific and public examination of the set of food products, industrial products and services.
In addition, the court ruled that the government’s actions to develop and approve the draft law on the state budget for 2019 dated September 15, as well as its submission to the Verkhovna Rada in violation of the procedure for establishing the cost of living and other social standards and guarantees, were unlawful.
By its decision, the court obliged the Cabinet of Ministers to establish a living wage in accordance with the provisions of the laws on the living wage and state social standards and guarantees.
