On April 18, the District Administrative Court of Kyiv satisfied the claim [to the National Bank and the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine] of the famous businessman and oligarch Ihor Kolomoisky, and has ruled that the 2016 nationalization of a major bank PrivatBank was illegal.
According to the Obozrevatel, the National Bank intends to appeal the corresponding verdict in the Court of Appeal.
“The court decision has not entered into force, and will be appealed by the National Bank. We will continue to prove the legality of the actions and decisions taken by the regulator in the Court of Appeal,” said Viktor Grigorchuk, head of the department of claim-related work of the legal department of the National Bank.
As The Journalist reported, Kolomoisky said he needed USD 2 billion, not Privatbank.
