On June 12, a fire broke out in the 5-storey residential building in Dneprovsky district in Kyiv; as a result, the balconies from the 2nd to the 5th floor burnt out. It is reported by the press service of the State Emergencies Service in Kyiv on its Facebook page.
The source reports that the rescuers received a message about the fire in Darnitsky Boulevard, 11 around 10 pm. According to eyewitnesses, the flames very quickly spread up the façades of the balconies and within a few minutes the balconies were burning from the second to the fifth floor
It is noted that at 10.22 pm they managed to localize the fire, and at 10:37 pm it was completely eliminated.
During the fire 15 residents were taken out of the house to a safe distance. There were no injuries.
5 units of the main and special fire-rescue equipment and 27 personnel were involved.
According to the preliminary data, the fire was caused by a low-calorie source (probably, a cigarette butt).
