Sri Lanka police detained two main suspects of the organization of bomb attacks on April 21, during the Easter celebration on the Gregorian calendar.

According to Radio Liberty, the detainees are brothers — Mohammad Sadiq Abdul-Haq and Mohammad Shahid Abdul-Haq.

Police also arrested the driver of the van, which the brothers used on the day of a series of explosions. In addition, the owner of the house where the van was stationed and the owner of a shoe store where the suspects were hiding, were taken into custody.

In total, more than 100 people have been detained following the terrorist attack: among them are visitors from Syria and Egypt. Three more suspects were killed during the storming by the police. The suspects were shown on a video of Islamists published on social networks, calling for a full-scale war against the infidels.

About 250 people died in Sri Lanka, but the exact numbers of victims are not known yet because of the difficulties in identifying bodies. Responsibility for the attack claimed the Islamic State group.

Western intelligence agencies warned the government of Sri Lanka of a possible attack. There was also information on the preparation of new terrorist attacks in the resort areas of India, Kenya, the Maldives and Tanzania.

As The Journalist reported, the Secretary of the Sri Lankan Defense Ministry resigned.
