The law on the reform of the judiciary came into force. The day before, the document was published in the Holos Ukrainy newspaper.

Presidential law provides downsizing of the Supreme Court from 200 to 100 judges and decreasing of base salary by one third, as well as the introduction of a new procedure for the formation of the Court, as well as the creation of a Commission on Integrity and Ethics.

The ambassadors of the EU and Canada, even at the stage of approval of the bill in the first reading, called for the careful development and addition of bill #1008, relating to the reform of the court. Among other things, diplomats pointed out the groundlessness of reducing the number of judges of the Supreme Court and applying lustration to members of the HQCJ.

As The Journalist reported, Zelensky signs law on judicial reform.
