Yevhenia Zakrevska, the lawyer of the families of the Heavenly Hundred, stopped the hunger strike that she went on in protest against the possible termination of investigation into Maidan cases. She announced this on her Facebook page:
“We stop the hunger strike, but we continue to observe the government action regarding plan to resuming the investigation into cases of Maidan, and we do not lose any of public attention to these cases. As soon as the attention of society disappears, so does the priority for the authorities. And the collapse begins.”
Zakrevska also added that her next move will be to demand from the President to sign the adopted law on the re-boot of the State Bureau of Investigations, as well as the decree on the new structure of the SBI, with the creation of a new department that will focus on investigations into cases of Maidan.
The human rights activist thanked everyone for the support by organizing solo and mass rallies in different oblasts of Ukraine.
