Libyan Air Force carried out airstrike near Tripoli

Air Force of the Government of National Accord (GNA) of Libya carried out an air strike at south-west of Tripoli. It is reported by Sky News Arabia.

The air strike was carried out on the airfield of the Al- Watiya Airbase. The information that the plane attempted to attack the military positions of the army was confirmed by Major General of the Libyan National Army Abdul Salam al-Hassi.

Prior to this, the Libyan National Army Air Force, under the leadership of Marshal Khalifa Haftar, attacked the GNA positions. The troops seized Tripoli International Airport, but the forces controlled by Prime Minister Faiz Saraj denied this. 

As a result of the offensive were killed at least 21 people.

Against the background of situation in Lybia, foreign companies and organizations began to evacuate their personnel from the country.

As The Journalist reported, the army of Haftar gained control over the airport in Tripoli, Libya.
