A letter from the famous French poet Charles Baudelaire, in which he wrote about his suicide, was sold at auction for € 234 thousand. About this reports BBC.
A note written on June 30, 1845 and addressed to the mistress of the poet Jeanne Duval, went under the hammer for a lot of money.
«When you receive this letter, I will be dead … I kill myself because I can no longer live or bear the burden of falling asleep and waking up again», the text of the letter says.
It is noted that at that time the poet was 24 years old and he actually attempted suicide, but survived. The poet died of syphilis in 1867.
