The fighters of the Luhansk-1 battalion, while maintaining order in the village of Melove (Luhansk Oblast), have detained a LNR militant.

According to the Police of the Luhansk Oblast, the detainee is the resident of the city of Rovenky, and, according to police databases, was involved in illegal armed groups.

In 2016, due to the difficult financial situation, a man joined the ranks of the “people’s militia” of the so-called “LNR” in the city of Krystalne.

According to the man, after working 10 days as a platoon driver, he left the militant ranks because of the atmosphere of total alcoholism in the military unit.

The detainee was transferred to the SBU in the Luhansk Oblast for further verification.

As The Journalist reported, the DNR militant was sent to prison for three years.
