President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko decided to restore the effective work of the Vorsha Aircraft Repair Plant, controlled by PJSC Motor Sich, and transfer it to state ownership. This is reported by «Obozrevatel» news agency.
«All the owners who were here, they themselves abandoned this plant. So act. This is a state enterprise from now on,» — Lukashenko said.
All documents on the returning the plant to state ownership have already been prepared and the work should be completed by the end of July.
«The plant should work, no matter what it takes. The plant not only has to be, but this plant should have perspectives for the development. And put a preliminary design on my desk and so on, taking into account what the business does here for the development of the airport and so on. God help anyone, if I will once again come to Orsha and there will be such a situation,» – the President of Belarus said.
In the near future, the decision to nationalize the plant will be settled with a Ukrainian company, controlled by MP Vyacheslav Boguslayev, member of the political party «People’s Will».
Recall that Vorsha Aircraft Repair Plant is the leading enterprise in Belarus. It performs overhaul of Mi-8, Mi-24 helicopters and theirs modifications.
As «The Journalist» reported earlier, Alexander Lukashenko urged Belarusians to drink in moderation.
