Today, July 27, the residents of Ukraine will be able to witness the full lunar eclipse, which, according to scientists, will be the longest in the 21st century.

So, it will be possible to observe almost all phases of the current eclipse. The moon will start to hide behind the Earth shadow at 8:14 p.m. (Kyiv time). Partial eclipse will begin at 9:24 p.m., and the full eclipse will be observed at 10:30 p.m.. It is then that the Earth’s satellite will turn red color. The whole process will finish at 2:28 a.m.

It is not necessary to have additional equipment, but a clean night sky required in order to observe the eclipse, Radio Liberty writes.

The moon will not just be full, but will also have «bloody» color because of the effect of sunlight. You can also see a Mars, a planet which will make its close approach to Earth, but still will be observed more like a bright star, scientists say. Therefore, in order to better observe it, you will need a telescope.

According to NASA agency, the next shorter lunar eclipses can be expected on January 21 and July 16, 2019, January 10, June 5 and July 5 and November 30, 2020.

As The Journalist reported, the American Christian preacher claims the last lunar eclipse is sign of apocalypse.
