The Prosecutor General of Ukraine, Yurii Lutsenko, has said that the head of the special investigations department of the Prosecutor General’s Office, Serhii Horbatiuk, was engaged in a television PR, and warned his colleague about possible official responsibility.
Thus, Lutsenko commented on the situation related to the judges of the District Administrative Court of Kyiv, and to the Horbatiuk’s statements.
“It’s not true that Horbatiuk didn’t get the reception of the Prosecutor General to report on this case. The truth is that Horbatiuk himself is on vacation from July 19 to August 12, which he interrupted for one day for a press conference and a TV PR,” said the prosecutor general.
Lutsenko also added that the draft suspicions “were registered in the office and were introduced to the Deputy Prosecutor General only on the morning of Monday, July 29, despite the Deputy Prosecutor Generals worked on the weekend.”
According to Lutsenko, Horbatiuk’s subordinates “did not add a single sheet of evidence, not a single covert investigative actions file” to the draft suspicions.
