Former Ukrainian Prosecutor General of Ukraine Yuriy Lutsenko is ready to testify in the US Congress in the impeachment case of US President Donald Trump.

“Why not. I am absolutely open and I know that all my actions were legitimate, all my statements were legitimate, I am not afraid of anything. I fear for my country because it seems to me that Ukraine has fallen prey inside a big American storm. I want to protect my country,” Lutsenko declared in interview the BBC Ukraine edition.

To Lutsenko, he never spoke with Trump, but met his lawyer Rudi Giuliani multiple times, and this investigation was also discussed.

The ex-Prosecutor General noted that this was ordinary communication, no one assigned tasks to anyone. He also noted that Ukraine has no jurisdiction to investigate Trump’s opponent Joe Biden and his son Hunter. Lutsenko believes that this is the jurisdiction of the United States.
