The winner of the tender for the position of Ukraine’s customs service head became Maksym Nefedov, who currently holds the position of First Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine.
According to the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine, the competition committee, on the basis of the results of the candidate evaluation, has recommended the Cabinet to appoint Nefedov as the head of the State Customs Service.
The Finance Ministry stressed that creating an efficient, transparent and corruption-free customs service is the key condition for fair business and for boosting economic growth.
“The Ministry of Finance entrusts ambitious tasks to the new head of customs, that is, to build a European-style customs in Ukraine,” the report said.
