The mission of the apparatus is officially completed after thousands of unsuccessful attempts to contact him, NASA’s press service reports.
On February 13, NASA officially announced that the Opportunity rover mission on Mars comes to end.
The report notes that the last attempt to contact the rover was unsuccessful. In total, about a thousand attempts were made.

“Opportunity, due to a severe Mars-wide dust storm, was transferred to the power saving mode, as bad weather prevented the light from flowing to its solar panels. In autumn, the storm subsided, but the rover did not come in contact. Experts have found that the rover is on the slope of the Valley of Perseverance,“ said in a statement.

Opportunity is the second of two rovers, launched by NASA as part of the Mars Exploration Rover project. He landed on the Red Planet on January 25, 2004.
As The Journalist reported, a survey of the phenomenon of "three solar bodies," called by scientists as Halo, was published in the web.
