Hundreds of exclusive retro cars were presented in Kyiv (VIDEO)

On September 28, the 9th large-scale exhibition was launched in Kyiv at VDNKh, where hundreds of exclusive retro cars and rare cars of different production years were demonstrated. The largest technical festival of Ukraine OldCarLand will be held during the weekend (September 29 and 30). During this time, visitors will be able to look at cars, trucks, sports cars, buses, motorcycles, bicycles and military equipment.

Many of them are kept in a single copy. The oldest vehicles, which are represented at the festival, are more than 80 years old.

«There are a thousand exclusive cars: buses, trucks, military equipment, cars, mopeds, scooters and other two-wheeled vehicles. For example, Oldsmobile Delta 88, which was released only throughout the year, is the only one in Ukraine. ZIS-110 is represented at the festival – this is the first Soviet limousine. Such were released 2,089 units, but in our country there are only two. One of them you can see at Oldcarland», said Volodymyr Mukan, chairman of the press service of the OldCarLand festival.

During the festival, visitors were presented with a full line of Soviet representative cars from the 1940s-1990s (ZIS, ZIM, ZIL, GAZ). Among them is the first Soviet world-class racing car Lada Eva in 1988.
Event also featured world legendary motor brands of the 1970s and 1980s: Maserati, Rolls-royce, Mercedes-Benz, Oldsmobile, Chevrolet, Ford, Cadillac. Some vehicles were forwarded from Poland, Belarus, Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Moldova especially for the festival.

«At this exhibition you can see the dynamics of the development of the car, which took place during the entire XX century. After all, the festival presented cars, ranging from the 20-ies to the exclusive copies of the 91-year. We have cars here that were preserved on the territory of Ukraine in one copy, for example, BUICK – in 1921», said co-founder and co-organizer of the OldCarLand festival Pavlo Lozovenko.

For three days in a specially designated area the drivers will drift, performing complex maneuvers. Also during festival there will be rallying on old cars. Scheduled and tours, competition on children’s pedal cars and the like.
