Full text of the appeal of Liudmila Sentsova:

«I appeal to you to pardon my son Oleg Gennadievich Sentsov, born in 1976, who was convicted by a Russian court to 20 years in a penal colony on charges of organizing a terrorist group.

All mothers love their children; they want freedom and happiness for them. It’s hard for me to judge the extent of my own son’s guilt, although I know him as a peaceful citizen and a man who is keen on his profession – filmmaking.

I will not convince you of Oleg’s innocence, although I myself believe in it. I’ll just say that he did not kill anyone. He had already served four years in prison. His children are waiting for him; his youngest son suffers from autism. They feel bad without him. They will never be happy without a father.

I ask you, Volodymyr Volodymyrovich to show mercy and pardon Oleg Sentsov, not to ruin his life and the lives of his loved ones. We are waiting for him at home».
In addition, Crimea Realii was able to film video footage with Sentsov for the first time in two years in the colony.

As reported by «Journalist» Russian director gave her the award of the Czech Film to Sentsov and Serebrennikov.
