German Chancellor Angela Merkel and French President Emanuel Macron are convinced that the next summit of the Normandy Four at the highest level should be held as soon as possible, since this meeting can bring some success in the Minsk process, DW reported.
German and French leaders want to organize the summit of the Normandy format after the preparatory meeting of the advisers and, if necessary, foreign ministers.
“We have long discussed the idea that, since the previous meeting was held in Berlin, this one should be held in Paris,” she added.
The German Chancellor noted the participants in the meeting should make progress with the good will of both parties [Russia and Ukraine – ed.].
