The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) of Ukraine has commented on the provocative Russian decision to expand the process of “passportization” and distribute the Russian Federation citizenship to Ukrainians who live in Donbas. The Ukrainian Foreign Ministry prepared an action plan for the National Security and Defense Council. The corresponding statement was published on the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
“The Foreign Ministry has already prepared a number of measures to protect national security, the legal rights and interests of Ukrainian citizens, respectively, to international law and legislation of Ukraine for the consideration of the NSDC amid the Kremlin’s actions,” the report says.
The Foreign Ministry condemned the Russian Federation attempts on “passportization” of the residents of Donbas and described the RF actions as blatant interference in the internal affairs of Ukraine and a serious threat to security throughout the European continent.
