The Netherlands will host the next session of the trial in the case of downing of the MH17 flight in Donbas in 2014. The Court will summarize what was discussed at the previous hearings. Representatives of the prosecutor’s office will make a presentation on the criminal investigation of this crime. This was reported by the press service of the court.
However, due to the coronavirus and the relevant national guidelines, the court hearing block was adjusted: a limited number of people will now be able to attend the courtroom in the Schiphol Judicial Complex, as a result. In particular, it is specified that in addition to judges, clerks and prosecutors, a maximum of two relatives’ lawyers, two lawyers and a limited number of media representatives will be present in the courtroom.
