Microsoft’s management filed a statement to all of its employees so that they would not take part in April Fools’ draws, and also to refrain from any jokes in public. This informs The Verge.

The report notes that this statement was placed in the text of internal note and signed by the head of marketing of company Chris Capossela.

According to him, such an activity, “as statistics show, has a limited positive effect and can lead to undesirable media coverage.”

“I appreciate that people are likely to spend the time and effort in preparation for this event, but I think that We can do more to lose than to win, trying to sound funny on that particular day,” – said Capossela.

Previously, the “Journalist” reported that Microsoft will protect 12 EU countries from cyber-attacks.
