In Kyiv, under the building of Prosecutor General’s Office of Ukraine, a rally of radical organizations for resignation of Yurii Lutsenko turned into clashes with law enforcement officials. About this informs Informant.
Activists who are unhappy with the decision to extradite Timur Tumgoev to Russia began to throw stones at the second and third floors of General Prosecutor’s Office of Ukraine in Kyiv, as a result of which the windows of the building were damaged.
It is noted that clashes took place between Protestants and law enforcement officers.
Recall that Tumgoev was detained by Ukrainian border guards at Kharkiv airport in June 2016, where he arrived from Turkey. In July 2017, he was released from custody after the expiration of the extradition arrest. The FSB of Russia suspects Tumgoev of involvement of one of the radical groupings in Syria. General Prosecutor’s Office of Ukraine then decided to extradite Tumgoev. European Court of Human Rights twice denied Tumgoev’s lawyers a cessation of extradition, but UN Human Rights Committee ordered Ukrainian authorities to stop extradition process.
In the media appeared information, Tumgoev was a fighter of the battalion named after Sheikh Mansour, who, together with eighth battalion of Ukrainian Volunteer Army, is fighting in the ATO / JOF area.
