In Catalonia, more than a million people came to the streets of Barcelona to commemorate National Day of the region – Diadu, and to express support for independence from the Spanish Kingdom, reports Info Bae.
This mass demonstration takes place almost a year after the referendum, which led to the declaration of an unrealized declaration of independence.
The head of government of Catalonia, Kim Torra, said he would resume the campaign to separate the region from Spain, refusing the central government’s proposal in Madrid to hold a referendum on greater autonomy.
