Ukraine will remain a priority partner for the European Union after the elections to the European Parliament, which will be held from 23 to 26 May.
This was stated by the head of the EU Delegation to Ukraine, Hugues Mingarelli, reports UNIAN.
“A few weeks ago, free and fair elections were held in Ukraine, which causes complete respect. Ukrainians have clearly shown that Ukraine is an advanced democracy,”Mingarelli stressed.
“And as representatives of the new leadership have already stated, they are determined to continue Ukraine’s path towards European integration,” the EU ambassador said.
Mingarelli also reminded that in a week the elections to the European Parliament will be held in the EU.
“But you can be sure that Ukraine will remain a priority partner country for the EU. I want to assure you that we will continue to support reformers in Ukraine and the country when it is faced with foreign aggression. You can rely on our support,” the EU ambassador assured.
